The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and Ukrainian Council of NSW<\/a><\/strong><\/span> calls all Ukrainians and supporters of Ukraine to join a national action to #FREEtheHAWKEI.<\/p>\n

A Hawkei is an Australian next-generation light four-wheel-drive protected armoured patrol vehicle manufactured by Australians at the Bendigo (Victoria) facility of defence company, Thales Australia – the manufacturer of the Bushmaster vehicle. The name Hawkei comes from a death adder snake found in Northern Australia.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Bushmasters, the Ukrainian Government has asked Australia to send up to 90 Hawkei vehicles, but not one<\/strong> has left the Bendigo factory bound for Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Join us this Saturday and call upon the Australian Government to #FreeTheHawkei and help Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n
