On the 21 December 2024 approximately 30 members of the Ukrainian community attended the UCNSW’s 2025 Planning Session.

The purpose of the planning session was to develop a planning/event calendar for 2025, ensuring events are reasonably spaced and don’t conflict with key events for member organisations, and ensure there is something planned for all members/segments of our community.

Four “Focus Areas” were discussed:

• ▪️Cultural
• ▪️Social
• ▪️Strategic Project “Australian-Ukrainian Identity Through Language”
• ▪️Ukraine Aid Initiatives

Very productive conversations were in the focus areas, with the comment “This was great, but we still have a lot more to do!” being frequently heard.

All attendees agreed that 2025 is going to be a challenging year for Ukraine, and that we can best support Ukraine by building a united community that represents Ukraine proudly and professionally to all Australians.

The results of the planning session along with “Next Steps” for each focus area can be seen here. All groups identified numerous events/initiatives for delivery in 2025.
